Tesla made an announcement last week about raising $2 billion through common stock offering. That offering has been completed and Tesla is now $2.31 billion richer in cash than it was before the offering.
According to the filing, Tesla CEO Elon Musk purchased up to $10 million in shares in the offering, while Oracle co-founder and Tesla board member Larry Ellison purchased up to $1 million worth of Tesla shares.
The offer priced on Friday at $767 a share. The company sold 2.65 million shares and the deal’s underwriters exercised in full the option to buy another 397,500 shares, Tesla said.
