EU Smaller Version Of CyberTruck Highly Likely Down The Road – Elon Musk

Tesla’s mission is to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy and Tesla CEO has always indicated that there is almost nothing Tesla cannot/will not build if they think it’s necessary to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.

Tesla wants to replace every ICE built vehicles on the road today, a mission said to be impossible by many Elon’s critics. As of today, that dream is already a reality after making Tesla the most valuable vehicle manufacturer in the world and making CEO Elon Musk one of the 10 richest men in the world.

In a twitter exchange with one of his followers, Elon Musk signals that Tesla is open to building anything automobile that will help accelerate any country (world) transition to sustainable energy, but in this case, the conversation was about the CyberTruck.

Elon Musk hasn’t updated Cybertruck pre-orders since late November last year when they hit 250,000. But thanks to the Cybertruck Owners Club, we have good evidence that as of February 18, Tesla has booked orders for around 535,000 of the funky new electric vehicles.

It’s highly likely that Tesla will only reduce the width instead of reducing the length, according to Elon Musk.

All configurations are US specification only at the moment. Global specifications will be developed at a later date based on demand, according to Tesla.

Elon Musk said Tesla Inc. will build its futuristic new Cybertruck in Texas regardless where the company decides to locate a big new “Giga” plant. The company’s billionaire founder made the pledge on Twitter late Friday, noting that Tesla’s Fremont, California, factory is already at maximum capacity.

The base version of the Cybertruck, with a single motor, will start at $39,900, good for 250 miles of range, a tow rating of 7,500 pounds, and a 0- to 60-mph time of 6.5 seconds. A dual-motor $49,000 version can tow 10,000 pounds and reach 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, with 300 miles of range. And the top-of-the-line variant, starting at $69,900, will go more than 500 miles between charges, hit 60 mph in under 3 seconds, tow up to 14,000 pounds, and start production in late 2022. That one, according to a slide Musk showed, has a tri-motor setup, though the CEO didn’t explain how that would work. (Single-motor setups tend to put the motor on the rear axle, dual-motor setups put one motor on each axle.)

Frunkla’s Take: It is highly possible that Tesla already has a perfect design, or perhaps, a working EU Version of the Tesla CyberTruck.
